January Beauty Favourites!

I can't believe it's already been over a month since New year! Where is the time going?

Anyway, seeing as though we're approaching the end of the first week in February i thought i would share with you some of my favourite beauty products that i have been using over the past month!

1. NYC Liquid liner.

This liner is pretty much the blackest liner you'll find. It has a super thin, precision tip which is perfect for creating thin or dramatic eye looks. The consistency of the product is quite running, however when applied to the skin it dries instantly and doesn't leave brush strokes like a few other liners seem to do. If you're a beginner and haven't quite got the hang of applying liquid liner yet, i would strongly advise using a felt tip liner, rather than a brush applicator like this one. A good felt tip liner is the L'Oreal Paris, Super liner Superstar. It has a 'corseted' tip which is perfect for those who are learning.

2. Vera Wang, Bejeweled (Rouge)

This perfume has been a favourite of mine for nearly a now. It's a mixture of blackberry, raspberry and blueberry scents which you'll love if you're into fruity fragrances. Many fruit scented perfumes have a tendency to be quite heavy, which for many women (and men) can result in headaches. Vera Wang however, have managed to create a very light, almost clean feeling smell with Bejeweled and i highly recommended it to anyone who enjoys wearing fun, girly fragrances. Plus, the bottle is absolutely beautiful - i keep mine on a shelf after I've used them up as they make lovely little desk/self ornaments.

 3. MAC 'Instigator' Lipstick.

Dark Lipsticks are always a bold choice, but whilst we're still in the colder months of the year i feel as though wearing them on a daily basis is way more than just acceptable. MAC has an amazing range of darker shade lipsticks, but after trying out the majority of them i have found that 'Instigator' is my absolute favourite! The dark 'plum' shade really does suit any skin tone, even if you're the palest shade of white (like myself). A lot of people struggle with shades such as this as they find applying them very difficult, but fear no more as i have a great tip that'll help all of you! Firstly, make sure that you always apply a lip liner beforehand. This will help to really set the lipstick and ensure that it doesn't spread around your mouth (we don't want to look like clowns do we?) Secondly, when you've applied both the lip liner and the lipstick grab a small concealer brush with a little bit of product on it and apply it around the outside of the lip liner. This will not only neaten up the edges creating a crisp and clean finish, but it will also help to keep the products in place all day long! You're welcome.

4. The Naked 3 Palette.

I am obsessed with this palette from Urban Decay. Ever since my boyfriend bought it for me this month i haven't stopped using it. The colours are mainly pink based, making it a very girly toned palette. This doesn't mean that you can't vamp it up though, no no.. i've created some really dark looks with this and honestly, they have turned out amazingly. If you're very pale like me then i would recommend bronzing up a little bit when using this palette as some of the colours can wash you out a little bit. Don't let this put you off though because it really does hold a stunning set of colours. A favourite colour of mine has to be 'nooner'. It's a medium brown with pink undertones, perfect for applying in your crease when creating either subtle, or dramatic smokey eye looks.

5. Urban Decay's mineral infused prep-spray.

If you get oily skin throughout the day, even after applying a mattifying foundation then look no further because this is the product you want. Urban Decay's prep spray is full of minerals and things that your skin will love, plus it keeps you shine free for up to 24 hours! I started using this just after Christmas and honestly, i've never looked back. I suffer from oily, greasy skin and this product has done exactly what i thought could never happen. So step away from the blotting paper and get onto the internet and order yourselves one of these little beauties. It's like having your own guardian angel in a bottle.

These are just a few of my favourites from this past month, which i'll definitely be continuing to use over February as well. As always if you have any questions about any of these products, or want to know where the best deals for them are then just drop me an e-mail at HelloTasha@live.com
