Sounds slightly dramatic, but ever since the first time i applied winged eyeliner, i became a whole new person. I was in my second to last year at school and had fully absorbed myself into the 'scene trend', with huge, peroxide, blonde backcombed hair down to my waist and multiple facial piercings- but i had been missing one thing, which of course was thick, winged liner.
From the day i could apply winged eyeliner with ease it became just another part of my daily routine and i haven't looked back since. It wasn't easy figuring out the best way to apply it, and it was even more of a challenge finding an eyeliner that i love (which was only last year btw).
But whilst attempting to keep my eyeliner 'on fleek' at all times, comes a lot of comments that are either rude, mean or just plain irritating. If you're an eyeliner hater then please just sit down and appreciate the sheer hard work and dedication that goes into creating the perfect wing.
So, lets begin...
1. You're wasting your eyeliner by using that much everyday
Well, you're wasting your breath trying to convince me that i'm using my eyeliner incorrectly. My eyeliner is mine. I pay for it, therefore if i have to buy a new one every week, then so be it.
2. The wings are too long and don't look natural
No shit Sherlock. If i wanted my eyes to look natural then i wouldn't spend 10+ minutes a day applying make-up to my face.
3. You're going to irritate your eyes doing that
Thank you for your input, but 7 years of wearing eyeliner hasn't managed to affect them yet so i think i'll just continue to take my chances.
4. How early do you have to get up to do that? You must waste so much time doing it.
I get up at the same time that i would if i didn't do it. & i'm not wasting my time because believe it or not, i do quite enjoy putting on my eyeliner in the mornings.
5. Why do you take it so seriously?
If you knew how long it took me to perfect the way that i do my eyeliner then you would understand. Whenever i see someone else with winged liner that is on point, i know their game is strong due to dedication and persistence. It's called appreciation.
6. Rather you putting it on than me
Yes, i would rather be doing my eyeliner everyday than not. I don't have a problem with you not wearing it, but please leave me to wear mine in peace. Ta
So yes. Those are just a few things that i am bored of hearing when it comes to doing my eyeliner. Please leave the things that you're bored of hearing in the comments!
Have the most lovely evening!
