Mademoiselle Privé : An enchanting new display by Chanel

The French fashion house has returned to the famous Saatchi Gallery in London for a new exhibition: Mademoiselle Privé.

If you love fashion, and are just ‘slightly’ addicted to Cara Delevingie then keep on reading because this is to die for!

Once again, autumn is now officially over and with the clocks having gone back an hour we truly are setting in to winter mode. Stepping into fluffy socks and sitting by the fire with mugs of hot chocolate may seem like the only way to enjoy the cold weather, but embracing it and making the most of what London has to offer could be far more entertaining.

Just last week an exciting new exhibition has brought to life the legendary Mademoiselle Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld at London's iconic Saatchi Gallery. The display, which is running from October 13th -1st November 2015 is currently displaying the Haute Couture element of the brand as well as the classic Chanel No.5 fragrance which we all know is a staple, must have scent.

Cara Delevigne and Rita Ora were both at the launch. With Cara sporting a little black dress and a glossy red lip, and Rita wearing a feathered skirt and white cropped blouse.

I was lucky enough to be in London on October 17th and jumped at the chance to take a look at and experience the journey through history and the origins of Chanel, which was spread across three floors of the building. After arriving at the gallery I was thrown back by just how many people were queueing outside, waiting to get in. But then again, who wouldn’t want to visit a Chanel exhibition that is FREE to go to?!

After waiting in line for just under an hour I was finally in, camera in hand. Excited was an understatement, and I wasn’t left disappointed. The inside of the Saatchi had been turned into a Couture wonderland, with past memories of the brand everywhere you looked. The minimalistic feel of the décor bought the exhibition to life, and the classy monochrome theme throughout added edge and youth to the exhibit which appeals to the younger audiences that they had attracted.

Desire isn’t exactly a sense that we usually count, but I am certain that it will be stimulated along with the others as you make your way through the building. So if you find yourself wandering around London within the next week and want something to do, I highly recommend stepping into this Narnia like experience and seeing for yourself what all the fuss is about, because believe me…it’s incredible.
The Saatchi are also running a cash prize competition, with a huge reward of £75,000 for the winner. Unfortunately I forgot to enter, it doesn’t mean that you can’t though!
