Summer in Paris

Happy Tuesday!

Glamorous couture creations have taken to the runways in Paris for fashion week and it's not just the clothes that have taken centre stage this time around. Designers like Celine and St. Laurent have been racing to find the most edgy yet antiqued locations to show off their garments and it seems that the list of unusual places to set up the show this year was endless, one of which was a sixth-century Abbey.

To kick off Fashion week with a bang Maison Martin Margiela presented his breathtaking pieces which consisted of deconstructed dresses next to tattoo-esque tops and mini dresses made from thousands of beads, buttons and screws - the sort of bits and bobs you'd find laying around in the bottom of the sewing kit! For me personally i feel this adds a very personal and more vintage touch to his garments, which is nice to see in such a modern and globally viewed event.

Moving onto big names in the world of celebrities, Jennifer Lopez and her mile long lashes completely stole the show at Versace and kept everyone talking. But wait, she didn't just wow us with her elegant eye candy, but also with her amazing new 10 pound slimmer figure - as if we weren't envious enough already!

Taking a look back over the past couple of days in Paris we can certainly see that the trends are hotter, the locations are bigger than ever and the stars making an appearance are looking more radiant than we can even believe. Paris fashion week is undoubtedly in full swing and at the top of it's game - obviously just like we expected it to ( duh ).
